Default question on probability notation

if you have a pile of N cards, and you want to know how many ways to choose six cards from it, it's six choose N, right?

Default Re: question on probability notation

When spoken, it is "N choose 6". When written it is usually either C(N,6) or the N is written over the 6 with parenthesis around both.
