Display driver problem

Out of nowhere I can't play DVDs on my laptop. The one I was playing started getting choppy, then the next time (and every time after) I try to play a DVD I get a message indicating that "The ati2dvag display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work reboot yoru system dadada"

Thoughts or suggestions?
