Default XP Firewall

Every time I turn on my computer, the firewall in xp is off. I have to turn it on each time. How do I get it to stay on?

this could be something like a norton product interfering by enabling its 'internet worm protection' or norton internet security or that sort of thing. look into the other security software you have installed.

Check the services applet in administrative tools. Make sure the service is set to automatic.

Another solution would be to download and install Kerio or some similar, free, better firewall.
