Default How do I find out if my laptop can handle 1600x1200 res?

[ QUOTE ]
My laptop's display adapter is a "NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go 32M"

I was gonna get this CRT since I can get it for $80, but I want to be sure it will work at 1600x1200.

Thanks
TONY

According to this:

[ QUOTE ]

When you upgrade to Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), or when you install the Microsoft driver for your NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go video adapter, unexpected display resolutions may be available on the Settings tab in the Display properties dialog box. For example, a default resolution of 969 x 768 is available instead of the expected default resolution of 1024 x 768. Or, a maximum resolution of 1372 x 1050 is available instead of the expected maximum resolution of 1400 x 1050.

So it looks like it can't.. sorry.

Actually, that is a problem SP2 makes, and it tells you how to fix it. Not that you cannot run it at 1600*1200. I am not saying it will run at 1600*1200 when you fix it but that the problem described is fixable. The 420 itself can hadle 1600*1200, but I cannot answer in this particular setup that you want. My best guess is that it will work, but that is just a guess.
