Default New to the poker room bonus

I've obviously heard about bonuses and have read this thread a couple of times, but I was curious about the whole thing worked. I understand how bonuses worked, but obviously you have to be a winning player to get the bonuses right? I am a winning player, by a very few margin, but I was curious how exactly you guys did this?

Go to bonuswhores.com and read the 101 guide. And then
come back here and go back to the first posts of this
forum and start reading. Many of the bonuses are outdated
but there is a lot of info that you can pick up!

Take a notebook and list the bonuses that look good or seem
to be popular. Then you can check the sites for their
current bonus or reload offers.

There are also some forums at Bonus whores
that have alot of info, but be careful about asking newbie
questions there! They seem to have a group of people over
there that think their lot in life is to totally flame
anyone who asks a question without doing a search.

Several poker bonuses are so generous that you can come out ahead while playing below the table average, or even while not playing any hands. However, you will do much better if you are winning money at the table in addition to clearing poker bonuses, and it may be worthwhile to give up some bonuses in order to play in softer games on other sites.
