Default Good program to use with a TV card?

So I bought this Lifeview dvb-t card. I can get a good picture, but I watch TV in a program supplied with the TV card and it is really buggy! I am looking for a program that will allow me to scan for TV channels, watch TV, and record TV. What is best?

Default Re: Good program to use with a TV card?

Free PVR (personal video recorders)

GBpvr: (I use this, Its good, you should like a lot of tweaking and getting certain options to work, gbpvr is very customizable.

Media Portal: Like GBpvr - good rep - it was not compatable with my hardware so I can not give a first hand review

Not Free:
Sage TV - probably the best and most expensive

Beyond TV - pretty good reputaion

see websites for details
You should check for hardware compatability with any of these of course.
I've never heard of the Lifeview dvb-t, does it use ATI Drivers?

There is also a Linux PVR but I think you have to have a Haupaugge-TV card.
