Clearing partypoker points for cash bonus without playing?

Forgive me if this has been brought up elsewhere - I did a search, but try entering the terms "party," "poker," "partypoker," "points" and/or "bonus" will pretty much get you nowhere if you're looking for something specific, as far as I can tell. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I was wondering if anyone knows if this PP points for cash thing can be cleared with points that were earned without playing - i.e., if I refer a friend, I would receive 1500 points (since it would be the 3rd person I referred), and if I deposited $500 I'd get another 1000 points. I need ~2100 points to clear my bonus...would these 2500 points clear this promotion for me without having played a hand?
