Default Pot Equity

I know a handful of pot equity numbers for certain situations, but how do I calculate how much pot equity my hand has given flop XYZ?

I personally don't know the formulas, but there is a ridiculously nice little program called PokerStove which will calculate not only your PE vs a known opponents hand on an XYZ flop, but your PE against a range of his likely hands...
