Destroy me.
In my quest to improve some aspects of my game I've been producing some jems like this one. I guess I just need the public humiliation to stop doing this, so please flame away.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (4 handed) converter Hero (t1570) UTG (t3005) Button (t2545) SB (t880) Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, SB raises to t400, Hero calls t250. Flop: (t800) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets t480 (All-In), Hero calls t480. |

Re: Destroy me.
How can you possibly call this raise preflop and then even think about folding on this board?

Re: Destroy me.
While not great, I don't think this is a horrible play.
He is doing a stop'n'go with paired board. There is a pretty decent chance your hand is good here. But fold this preflop and concentrate on being the raiser and not the caller. |

Re: Destroy me.
I agree, You can't fold on that flop. And I agree again: Fold or raise all in preflop.
He wont fold to a raise often, but with a standard player You will be ahead preflop most of the times, so put him all in while You're ahead. |

Re: Destroy me.
I actually think this is fine.
If you reraise preflop I believe you probably have less folding equity than hoping he misses and checks. It's borderline between all three options for me, but I don't think your line was bad and it was possibly the best. Lori |
