Default Harrahs/ MGM Mirage

Looking at investing; seems like Vegas and the gaming industry in geneeral are on an overall ascent. These two companies seem to own a large chunk of high end properties, especially in Vegas but also all over. I've looked at their annual reports and they seem to be growing year over year. Given the Katrina disaster in Mississipi and Lousiana, could this be a good time to get into these stocks relatively cheaply? Or would people recommend against either or both of these for some reason? Betting on gambling stocks that are strong in Las Vegas would seem to be a good bet to me.

Thanks.

PS: did a search, did not find too much.
