a friend was telling me he is buying Wal-Mart stock. It is at $45.19. It has gone down in the last year a good bit. Is it time to make that investment?

Please do more research than simply looking at a one year chart before you come on here and ask for advice. I dont personally follow wal-mart so I cant comment on it at this point but I do know I am not a big fan of the retail sector at this point. If gas continues to climb you are going to see people squeezing other parts of their budget to pay for gas and that means many people will stop spending money on unneccsary retail items.

Also important to note that rising oil prices hurt the lower income and the majority of wal-mart shoppers are lower income thats why they are taking such a big hit as where some retailers are not.
