new monitor
I have a gateway laptop. It has a 15inch widescreen monitor. I want to add a new monitor so I can 8 table. I also would like to hook up my computer(DVD player) to my tv. I'm pretty sure I need a new graphics card to do both. Thanks for the help I'm pretty computer retarted.

I also have a gateway laptop and to hook a monitor up all i did was plug the cord into the outlet on the back of the laptop.
If u have windows xp it should find a driver for you no prob. as far as t.v. goes ive never done it but i dont know if running youre laptops dvd player to watch dvds is the greatest idea. If it gets burned out its ALOT more expensive than a $50 sony dvd player, and you have to get the laptop shipped out to have it fixed. Just my 2 cents. Jay
