Middle pair + Back door flush VS. Top Pair
Say you have middle pair on the flop as well as a backdoor straight and you are pretty sure someone else has the top pair.
What pot-odds do you need to continue to the turn assuming that two-pair or better will win? And please elaborate. Thank you. "Its not gambling... its gamBlingBling" |

Twodimes indicates that you could have a
22 or 23 % chance of winning. http://twodimes.net/h/?z=11289 pokenum -h js tc - ad 5s -- ah td 8c Holdem Hi: 990 enumerated boards containing 8c Td Ah cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV Js Tc 230 23.23 760 76.77 0 0.00 0.232 5s Ad 760 76.77 230 23.23 0 0.00 0.768 http://twodimes.net/h/?z=11294 pokenum -h as tc - js 7s -- jh td 4c Holdem Hi: 990 enumerated boards containing 4c Td Jh cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV As Tc 216 21.82 774 78.18 0 0.00 0.218 Js 7s 774 78.18 216 21.82 0 0.00 0.782 |

So would you say its smart to stay around to see the flop if the pot is offering 3.54:1 odds?

It will generally be worth taking a card off if you can do so for only one bet on the flop.
