Wireless Internet ?'s

Thanks for any help in advance.

I just bought a wireless router and I need a little tech help. My computer is not naturally wireless capable so 2 years ago I bought a D-Link AirPlus (DWL-G650) adapter. I used it in Europe and have you used a network cable for the last year and a half.

I believe I lost all the hardware for my AirPlus and my computer no longer detects it.

Any suggestions? btw I'm a computer retarded, so please go slow.

I got one of those adapters (exact model).

Awwwful piece of kit. poor reception, heat problems.
Buy another adapter.

You can purchase usb wireless adaptors at Best Buy for like $25 with rebates. They work great you just plug into usb port and are connected.
