Default What to bid?

There is a card game we play called 10-1-10 for 2-5 players. On the first round, each person gets 10 cards, the next round 9, and all the way down to 1 and then back up to 10. Each round, one card is turned up, and that suit is trump. Then, you bid how many tricks you think you can take. If you are right, you get (your bid + 10). If you are wrong, you get nothing. My question is for the "1" round. If you are first to bid, with what cards is it correct to bid 1 for 2, 3, 4, and 5 players?
