A-x on the bubble
SB's range could easily be any 2, is this a call? (or push since he should be calling here)
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (4 handed) converter SB (t2955) Hero (t1455) UTG (t8130) Button (t960) Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, SB raises to t700, Hero... |

Re: A-x on the bubble
While I think you're likely (well, almost certainly) ahead of his range here, I fold. Well, I probably fold.
The only time I don't fold here is when I have reason to believe I will have no success stealing blinds in the next few orbits. If that's the case, then I'll call here in a +chipEV situation. Otherwise, I fold, and just try to pick up blinds in situations where I have FE. This is a leak of mine though. I have a problem laying this hand down. But I think it's the right play. |

Re: A-x on the bubble
Is there ever a situation where this isn't the case for you?
I'm envisioning a situation wherein there are, I don't know, two total callstations and another short stack at the table. Which really isn't that rare for a low buyin SNG. Are you still folding here when your chances of stealing blinds are very low? |
