Default aim virus?

Is there an AIM virus? the other day somebody on my buddy list invited me to a chat room and then she told me it was the AIM virus... when i am on the computer for a length of time i get disconnected and i cant open certain sites.... does anybody know anything about this?

there were a lot of viruses being spread through aim profiles and it's not uncommon for them to exist, because so many nieve people use it.

Do you have a virus scanner? Perhaps try using a non-AOL client for access, no ads and safer. I suggest gaim , just look for the win32 port.
