Poor Oprah Winfrey went to the Hermes store in France to buy a gaudy watch for galpal Tina Turner, but was turned away because the store had closed 15 minutes earlier.

Apparently, this must have been caused by the horribly racist store staff, who "has been having trouble with North Africans."

I am glad that Oprah Winfrey will be dedicating one of her upcoming shows to this transgression. I can imagine how violated she must have felt, not being allowed into the closed store. She needs to bring this oppression to the public eye. I'm sure it will be cathartic for her, and maybe now we can all let the healing begin.

I love the fact that the store APOLOGIZED for not letting her in. What a bunch of dupes.

I bet she doesn't end up addressing it on the show at all. Oprah's not an idiot, and I'm sure she could see the impending backlash from this should she overpublicize it.
