good deal on a laptop?
ok, im looking for an entry level to laptop to
play poker, 4 tables, pt, pv, etc. dl and watch movies/ music, burn dvds do work if its possible some gaming capability, how realistic is that if im in the 1500 under range? games like halo, gta- sa, 3d intensive games. how expensive does that get? i know the poker stuff is not system intensive but display and screen can be. on one hand im willing to pay, i have the money from poker but i dont want to hit the part of diminishing returns and drop 600$ more on a comp that isnt that much better. how does this toshiba look? 1.8 ghz, 512 DDR ram, 15.4" LCD (how is this?), dvd multi, 128mb geforce go 5700 card my budget is 1500 or less (thats what im looking for) but if it is more and really worth it ill go higher. my common sense tells me its more efficient to buy a 1200$ laptop, then another 1200$ laptop in 2 years than buy one pimped out 2K+ one now. |

Re: good deal on a laptop?
Computer stuff is much cheaper in the states than in the UK... look around you might find that ferrari laptop for <$1500... I got one and it's great. Really good quality and, needless to say, amazing design.
This laptop turns heads. |

Re: good deal on a laptop?
I guess I'll use the coupon and get that one.
Does anyone know what "native resolution 1280x 800 means? |

Re: good deal on a laptop?
It's the resolution of the actual computer. The computer could possibly handle a larger external screen.
Also, there is a way to make the screen larger than it really is, but to see the edges you have to scroll around a bit. This would be larger than the native resolution. Native = actual... |

Re: good deal on a laptop?
It also means you will have tons of overlap playing 4 tables.
