Default KENO TRIVIA

At the casino I play poker at there are (so it seems) hundreds of KENO boards around the casino. All of them have the same layout: 8 rows of 10 numbers each.

A) What are the odds that after the 20 numbers are drawn, the keno board shows a symetrical pattern. (either vertical or horizontal).

B) What are the odds that the keno board shows a 2-way symetrical pattern? (symetrical along both axis)

Default Re: KENO TRIVIA

B) C(20,5)/C(80,20) = 1 in 228 TRILLION

A) [2*C(40,10)-C(20,5)]/C(80,20) = 1 in 2.1 BILLION

Billion = 10^9
Trillion = 10^12
