Default Betting the turn with middle pair

Hi all,

Here is an interesting hand. I raise preflop with 99
and get 2 callers. An overcard comes on the flop, I bet and
get called by 1. Should I bet the flop or check?
I fear the queen and check hoping for a free card. On the river opponent bets. Who folds this?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Check the BB. Check/fold the flop, be insanely careful on the turn, and if you get to the river, call a small bet. Generally, betting 99 into a field of limpers isn't good when your opponents suck.

Yikes!!!
1)check preflop. Only play a set after the flop( unless u have 20-1 odds for a call on the flop) If ur 99 are overcards I would guess theyre good.

So I gatther you would not bet the turn, and you would fold to the river bet?
