pp 100+9: two bubble situations in the blinds with trips

For both hands, two things stuck out: (1) I can fold, and still be in good shape to get ITM, (2) both ppl's play set off some warning bells. In both, I definitely wanted to exercise pot control. So, in both, how much consideration do you give to foldinig at some point, and how much consideration do you give to playing the hand differently? I'll post results later, I guess.

Hand 1:

In neither hand did you excercise pot control really.

In hand 1 you min bet on the flop, called a tiny raise and then check/called the rest of the way.

In hand 2 you made a tiny raise on the flop and check/called the rest of the way.

In hand 1 you should have bet 400 and faced a pot commiting situation which is when you decide to stay in til the river or fold.

In hand 2 you should have put the short stack all in or folded. Here again you were pot commited if you put any more chips in.

Hand 1, there's a 0% chance of me folding this. You were lucky villain continued to bet into you... I would likely be check raising all in on the turn as opposed to just calling and DEFINITELY pushing all in on the river if it got there. Why would you give him the chance to check behind? I'm assuming though, that since you're posting this, you ran into KT/KQ here which is just bad luck.

Hand 2 is much more difficult with flush AND straight possibilities. I would be pushing on the flop after his little reraise. Passive slowplaying of made hands is how you get outdrawn. You need to be protecting your hand against the draws here.

hand 2 really looks like he has trips as well, but I don't think that I'm laying this down so you might as well get your chips in on the flop. I think that i'm laying down 8,2 here to the mine reraise though, anyone else?

Wow...i feel opposite of most replies so far. I feel in hand 2 you are way ahead...given the reraise PF it looks like SB was trying to trap and I bet he has an overpair.

Hand 1 I am not getting away from, but I feel it could be more likely you are behind.
