Default hand analysis in holdem

in the book harrington on holdem can someone explain the equation on the bottom of page135 i dont understand where he gets the percantages he is multiplying by. if someone could walk me through it that would be awesome. not a math wiz so simple terms please

The percentage chances for trips versus high pair is what Harrington called an "intelligent guess" he made by the way the hand was played and the fact that it is more likely the opponent has a high pair than he has trips. He multiplies the chance of each hand type by the probability of winning and adds the total for a 60% probability of winning.
