Why Can Jennifer Lopez Say the "N" Word?

Should Jennifer Lopez be able to say the "N" word on her songs without being hassled, when soooooooo many others in the music industry do? Should only black people(of varying degrees) be able to say the "N" word?

I've had this discussion before. The way people argued it to me is that when a white person uses the 'N' word they mean something different than when a black person uses it. I'm not sure that this is always true but I think most of the time it is true. So I would say it depends on the context that it is used in.
