Default Comments on these recent low priced most active

I've noticed these tickers recently on the most actives. Just want some feed back...what people think about them?

LU (Lucent)
NT (Nortel)
Q (QWest)
SUNW (Sun Micro)

Those are just big companies that happen to have low stock prices. Q has been busy because of all the recent telecom merger rumors.

All of these used to be much higher in price. They did multiple splits during the tech bubble and now have lots of shares outstanding but their valuations have decreased substantially from their bubble prices. Apparently they thought the profit growth from the dot.com IPO dot com feeding frenzy would sustain itself. Thus the multiple splits. If they did reverse splits, I'm sure you'd see volume decreasing on all of them.

nortel is in the news a lot here in canada. they've been having a rough time with having to restate earnings for the last few years and delisting could still be in the cards for them the last i read. i wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
