Some finance.yahoo.com msg boards are worth monitoring. www.fool.com is worth a free trial membership in.

The fool message boards are great, but there is an annual fee now. It might be worth it ... they do have an amazing variety of boards, and if you spend the time you will probably find stuff worth the money. For free, here are a couple of smaller boards focussed on accumulating money for an early retirement that spun off from the Fool when it went pay. They all have extremely knowledgeable investors/posters. You will typically find a focus on putting together a portfolio of low cost index funds as the best way for most people to invest in the stock market.

If you're looking for company specific boards, check out the yahoo ones. http://finance.yahoo.com type in your symbol and click on "messages"
