Default Non-poker dice odds???

If you roll 26 dice 100 times, how many times would 2 or less of the dice land on a 1 or 2? Please give me the answer and how you came up with it.

Using the BINOMDIST function in Excel:

=BINOMDIST(2,26,1/3,1)= 0.002515
The above corresponds to the probability of a 1 or 2 occuring on only 2 or less of 26 dice.

Next, using the BINOMDIST function again to determine the probability of this happening x times over 100 rolls, we use:
=BINOMDIST(x,100,0.002515,0)

The value of this function for different x's:
p(0) = 0.777
p(1) = 0.196
p(2) = 0.025
p(3) = 0.002

The above probabilities correspond the probability of it happening x times over the 100 rolls. And in case you were interested, the expected number of times for it to happen is 0.2515 for each 100.

It will happen 0 times 77.7% of the time.
It will happen 1 time 19.6% of the time.
It will happen 2 times 2.4% of the time.
It will happen 3 times 0.2% of the time.
It will happen 4 or greater times almost never.

And on average, it will happen 0.2515 times.

Maybe I'm dumb, but how many times out of 100 will 2 or less of the 26 dice land on 1 or 2?

You can't state for certain how many times it will happen, because it is a random value. Therefore, I have given the probability that it will happen x times in 100 above, and in addition, ON AVERAGE, it will happen 0.2515 times in 100.
