Default Clearing a google search

If you search for something on google, everytime you go back the word you typed in still remains. Everything I've searched in the last year is right there for anyone using my computer. I don't think my boss would appreciate some of the things I search for on my work computer (pamela anderson or world poker tour) How can I remove them?

What browser do you use?

If you use Firefox go to tools - options - privacy and click clear next to Saved Form Information. You also might want to expand it and click the button so that it doesn't store them.

If you use IE I'm not so sure but I googled it and found this page.

Also if you're using IE use firefox instead! On another note people still google pamela anderson these days?

If you are using Internet Explorer (IE), it's pretty easy. I'll also include how to clear the history, in case you don't know how to do that either.

1) Go to the "Tools" menu at the top of IE

2) At the bottom of the dropdown menu, select "Internet Options"

3) The "Clear History" button is on the bottom of the first window that appears.

4) Select the "Content" Tab at the top of the window

5) In the "Personal Info" section at the bottom of the new window, select the button that reads "AutoComplete".

6) At the bottom of the new window, there is a section titled "Clear AutoComplete History". The two buttons are "Clear Forms" and "Clear Passwords". The "Clear Forms" button will clear the AutoComplete history in the main address window, as well as any other website's forms.

There you go!

There is also the option to turn off AutoComplete altogether. That may be something to consider in your situation.

My wife busted me once this way. I had recently been on a trip to South Africa, and I had searched for "strip clubs in Capetown".
It wasn't good.
