Another deal on a 20" LCD monitor

has a 20" LCD Monitor on sale for $549 + shipping/tax . I don't really know much about it, but the following specs look decent:

Sceptre 20.1" LCD
Analog/DVI
Res: 1600 x 1200
Contrast: 700:1
Response: 25ms
Brightness 300nit
Stereo Speakers

I got a dell 2001fp today for $564 +tax and with free shipping. I have a feeling the dell is a better monitor. Check out the thread in the zoo.

Like I said, don't know much about the monitor, but the specs say it does 1600x1200 and includes speakers. May be worth researching if you are looking for a monitor.

nice thing about costco, is that you can return anything even after 6 months no questions asked. hard to beat that as when you have a problem just trade it back to them for another. worth maybe paying a little more than internet prices and not having to deal with tech support in india or hell. you can also get dell from them on the net. and return it to the store if you arent satisfied. i love that store. i just got a foosball table from them thats high quality for less than 200. too bad i stink at it.

It is. The dell is 16ms refresh instead of 25. What this means basically is that the costco one would probably have ghosting issues watching movies or playing games. I have a 2001FP, and I've never noticed ghosting.

They have changed their policy on returns for computers only...everything else you can still take back for a full refund YEARS later.

Effective November 4th, 2002, Costco Wholesale’s desktop and notebook computer return policy is six-months from the date of purchase. After six-months from the date of purchase, all service and technical support will be subject to the applicable remaining manufacturers' warranty.

nice to know but a six month no questions asked return policy cannot be beat. no need to deal with fighting over bad equipment and who is at fault. just give it back to them. and having dealt with costco, they will most likely take it back anyway.
