Default Shared video memory

How much better is regular video memory than shared video memory on a laptop?

depends on the card, if it's a basic card, which most laptops are, the performance isn't going to be spectactular either way, if you get one of the rare laptops with a beefy card, then you are goign to be doing alright, it will most likely have onboard memory anyways.

one notebook has a intel pentium 4 552 (3.46 GHz) with a

ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 IGP graphics with 128MB of DDR shared memory (memory is taken from the main system)

the other has a intel pentium M 745 (1.8 GHz) with a

NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5700 graphics with 128MB of RAM

Assuming both have at least 1GB of ram, how big will the performance difference be? Thanks a lot.
