Your question implies that you have no read on this player. Why not? Clearly he's been involved in at least a couple pots if he's already down to 500. The right play here IMO is to have a read on Villain and go with it.

Folding preflop would have been silly, you shouldn't even fold AJs here. In fact I think you should play KQs/KQo here. I like your preflop raise, I think it's better than limping.

I fold KQo but Im a huge tightass sometimes (of course choosing to play KQo would be perfectly acceptable in this case)...but of course I'd never fold KQs or ATs.
