Standard raise on Level 3 of 1000 chip tourneys?

Mine is 150. But I see a lot of others raising 175 or 200. Is 150 enough? If not, make your case. What do you raise?

Because they fold just plenty, I lose 25 less chips when someone comes over the top or when other bad things happen and the pot is more manageable postflop and makes it easier for me to play and etc etc. Again it's almost always correct to make your standard raise size that of whatever the lowest amount is that gets the job done. I feel that 125 is very close to 150 in that regard.

Anyway what can I say, it works for me just fine. My normal raise in the 10-15 round is 45, its 85 in the 15-30 round, its 275 in the 50-100 round and 375 in the 75-150 round.

Ugh...I hate to agree with him but.....I generally raise 125. Sometimes 150 if I'm feeling frisky.

I'm guessing because he feels it doesn't make much difference to players outside the blinds, and he can use position to outplay the vast majority of big-blind callers?
Especially since keeping the pot small preflop leaves more room for maneuvering on the flop.

btw I raise it to 150 and 175 sometimes of course, although 175 is rare. But standard is 125.

I just feel that far too many players treat this like a min-raise. Especially when it's still such a small portion of their stack (in their eyes). I can't disagree with a 2.5BB raise on level 4 and up. But I don't like it here.
