Default Which option is better here w/88, pushing or raising 3xbb?

The whole table had been pretty tight, and the villain was no exception. With 660 left after posting, a strong hand HU, and position, I was either going to raise 150 or push. If I raise 150 and he calls, I’m going to fire a continuation bet of 200 on the flop, if there are overcards and the villain checks first. Who likes this line better than pushing preflop, and why? If I push, I maximize my folding equity. I know there is only 100 in the pot, but that is 15% of my stack after posting, and I could really use it. If the villain does call, I’m going to be a slight favorite most of the time, and when I do double up, I’m going to have enough chips to start bullying all these tight-passive players.

If I were to employ the raise 150 and bet the flop line and lose, then I’m crippled. When I take down the pot using this line, I’m usually only going to win 100 chips more, with a lot more risk involved.

I think pushing here is fine since you dont want to raise, get called and see a bunch of overcards on the flop. He will probably fold this most of the time though.

I really do not like a push here.

I either check behind or throw out a 3x BB raise.

I think a push here is really bad. You have position after the flop... raise, don't push.

I like it.

Raising isn't too bad but if he calls and the flop comes all face cards and he bets out you gotta let your hand go so I prefer the push here.

Yeah but most of the time he isn't going to bet at you on a flop like that.

You have 14-15 x BB and there are only 100 chips in the pot, a push here is terrible, I think.

I'd raise to 175.

Pushing is probably +EV, but I think a normal raise is better.
