I think my favorite "alternate swear" that I've heard was "Mother father!"

[/ QUOTE ]

For whatever reason, "mudda fadda!" has become a pretty common exclamation in my card room. It probably all started when management starting cracking down on the off-duty (and sometimes on-duty) dealers who like to swear up a storm.

I always wondered about swearing when people do it in regular conversations - particular girls. I was talking to this one girl who seemed pretty "next door" type. I asked her about how she liked her apartment and she said "[censored] yeah it's great". It took me by surprise when she did that - I didn't think she knew me well enough to be so casual. What would you think of that if it happened to you with a girl?

It depends what word you typed. As long as it wasn't cocksuker, I probably wouldn't care to much.

she don't give a fu[/i]ck.

OP, I worked in a resturaunt for a while and dropping plates and stuff sucks, but you can't cuss with all the people around without getting fired.

"Mother Scrapper"
"God dog"
"Holy tolito"

like someone else said, its just words, so make up your own if it makes you uncomfortable.

Sometimes it's kind of habit forming and I suddenly realize I've been swearing like mad without realizing it. It can get to the level where cursing just becomes a lazy substitute for every other way to say anything, including ways that better express who I am or what I'm trying to say. That's when I try to become a little more conscious of it for a while so I don't feel like I'm dumbing myself down and selling myself short.

I can go for a long time without doing it, but don't usually try all that much, since so many of the people I'm around either swear a lot themselves or don't care who does. Every once in a while I kind of surprise myself by letting out a curse word around a nearby old lady or something, and feel like a fool for it. That's usually one of the few times I have to actually think about whether I curse too much.
