I thought I said it was a mean bet, meaning it was a perfect one, but I'm sure my memory of the hand would be the most impaired . I mean collectively we were obliged to call a $2 bet; as 4 2+2ers who have read their Izmet, the communal shame of being bluffed out of a pot for $2 would simply be too much to bear. Gabe just happened to be the fall guy .

Sounds like a good time, all around.

Some day, I intend to attain a level of prominence approaching that which would enable me to just walk right up the front steps of any 2+2'er with a status above newbie.

Maybe secret handshakes, passwords, etc., or perhaps we will all simply know one another by the 500-yard stare, our inner suffering ultimately becoming more obvious, manifesting in some sort of recognizable, obviously poker-related common trait (see "Fight Club").

His name was Robert Paulson.

Andy,

You should look into this patent thing as there may be more profit in poker than leather.

I'm not in the loop for this but we have something called "LA Holdem" at the Bike which is simply holdem with the river card dealt face down to everybody. So far "Crazy Fox" looks like it has more fans.

The rest of you guys can read more about the day Andy invented this game here. He will need proof that it was his idea for the patent.

Wish I could have been there but I'm not sure Dynasty would have let me in .

"Let me set the table for you -
Seat 1 - Rick and his Hero alternating
Seat 2 - me
Seat 3 - Ed Miller (Majorkong)
Seat 4 - Josh W
Seat 5 - Gabe
Seat 6 - Dynasty
Seat 7 - mike l.
Seat 8 - Clarkmaster
Seat 9 - Andy Fox"

No wonder why I lost. Gives new meaning to the old saw about looking around the table and not finding a pigeon meaning you're it.

I was it. (Although I think Dynasty did equally well that night. )

Shouldn't it be "heroine"?

Or uh.... not?

I don't know. She's my "heroine" (usually spoken after she takes another hand uphill and gets there) just doesn't sound right Maybe we should ask John Cole over on other topics.
