Default This may seem like a stupid question

I just had a home game 1-table no-limit tourney... 5-way 10$ buy-in, winner gets 35$, 2nd place 15$. On to the question. On the final hand (3-handed), I went all-in with 400 chips, other guy with 300 chips also went all-in. The chip leader called and won. How do we figure out who's second place since we both got eliminated on the same round? (As in, officially, how would it be handled?). I don't play no-limit tourneys usually so sorry if this is a dumb question

Most of the time, whomever had more chips to start the hand gets the higher placing.
