Default somewhat simple draw poker question for the math buffs

lets say i have a game basically like video poker. you get dealt 5 cards, discard, make your best hand, get paid accordingly.

now lets say if you get dealt 3 of a kind (not a FH, or quads), you must keep those 3 and you get to draw 3 cards instead of 2. i haven't calculated anything but obviously a good thing for your EV right?

now lets say same scenario, but if you get dealt Aces full you are forced to discard the small pair and get to draw 3.

if 3 of a kind pays x, full house pays y, and quads pays z

how does being forced to throw away the pair for aces full affect your EV?

how would it change if you were forced to throw the small pair away for any dealt full house?

sorry if this question is lame...

i think you are asking which game has a better EV, a normal draw poker type, or a wacky draw poker where you MUST discard 2 cards but you get three replacement cards instead of 2, with equivalent payout schedules.

the answer is, it depends entirely on your payout schedule.
