apple's airport wireless router is a piece of $*@%

I got this thing because that feature it has that lets you send an optical signal to the stereo from any computer in the house was pretty sweet sounding. But this thing has terrible signal and I always lose connection to my network while in the middle of an important hand...

I need a new router. Which one has the best range? I mean, I'm only 2 walls, maybe 60 feet away, but apparently that's too much for this apple piece of shite to handle.

FWIW, there's another computer in this house, sitting right next to the router, using the exact same wireless card, that gets perfect signal. So I think we can rule out the wireless card as the problem.

They have a pretty good out of box range, and if it's not enough, they have removable antenna with standard jacks to plug in a good external antenna.
