Was his play that ? I imagine a lot of the time he takes it down preflop.

This is pretty funny. Just checked. Top 130 money. Winner of this hand went out 144.

I've had a couple of hands against someone playing a 72s and raising preflop. It's like when they get that hand, that is a signal to bluff.

I had one guy that I went through half his stack with him bluffing at me. I had a full house and he had nothing. I checked the river JUST to see what he was betting into me with. It was 72s with a 2 and one of his suit on board. This was in the middle levels, I think level 7. Then he says, "I almost had you.". I almost hurt myself laughing. But I responded "If you had bet the river, I would have folded my full house."

Agreed. I think the play is just fine. There is nothing wrong with a steal attempt of the blinds with any two cards especially as the table chip leader so long as you keep getting away with it. Even if you get a caller here, you may be able to outplay them on the flop and win that many more chips. Once you get caught, slow down and play normal.
