weird wireless problem
ok so i have 2 computers hooked up to wireless netgear router.
on 1 computer everything works fine. on the other, only certain apps work. for example, aim, partypoker work but not firefox, IE, or pokerstars. im thinking that this means certain ports are open and certain other ones arent but i have no idea how to check this. i've tried running ipconfig and repairing my connection but no luck. any suggestions? thanks. also its not the firewall program. |

Re: weird wireless problem
I'm assuming since you said it's not the firewall program that you shut it down to test thay hypothesis???
From what you said, it really does sound like a firewall problem. Which firewall program are you using? |

Re: weird wireless problem
you could reset your router to its default settings if you want to insure it's not a factor, but you'll need the signup packet you got from your isp handy or you'll be making a phone call
