Default Tournament Formats in Vegas

I enjoy tournaments on Paradise Poker (texas holdem). In Vegas tournaments, is the format similar to that on PP? Which casinos offer these tournaments and which are the best to play in?

Thanks for any help

I have played both on paradise and many lv tourneys. Paradise tourneys last no more than an hour. You will get much more play in vegas, they run 4 to 6 hours for the small buy-in tourneys. Best tourneys IMO, are at the Mirage and Orleans, you will get more players and the biggest prize pools in these tournaments. Orleans tourneys $20-60 buy-ins with multi-rebuys or at least 1 rebuy the first hour, levels increase every 20 minutes. Mirage $60 to 120 buyin, multi rb 1st hr, 30 min levels. I played mir tues. nite and next to me was a wsop gold bracelet winner. Usually very tough locals at both of these locations, but with a little luck and patience you can make it to the final table. good luck to you.

Thanks very much for that feedback....

Out of curiosity, how tough do you rate the PP tournament players...

Thanks again

Sure, there are some good PP tourney players for that structure, but you will need to make an adjustment to your game to sit with the "big boys". Let me know how you did, when you get back.
