Default The Pianist - Excellent Movie.

I saw this movie last weekend and it is very well done. Straight forward and historically accurate (The Warsaw Jewish getto & the uprising). Not for the faint of heart, nor a good date movie. But a must see for anyone interested in the human condition and the extreme actions that humans inflict on each other.

As an aside when the Poles in Warsaw rose up to fight the Germans when the Russians were close to the city, the Russians stopped their advance and offered no support. This was not mentioned in the movie but is not important to the plot at that point.
The Germans brutally put down the uprising but it took 63 days. The allies tried to get supplies by air but it was all for not. This is only one of a long list of crimes the Russians committed on the Polish people during WWII. Anyway, see the movie.
