Default Question for 6+ tablers . . .

Does your winrate suffer at a certain point? I can 2 table and post here just fine, 3 table and read posts, 4 table and my brain frigging explodes if the room isn't totally silent.

How do you manage? I've got PV etc. Just wondering if there's something mentally you do to focus. (I realize this is the zoo, and no porn is not the problem, i've got plenty thanks.)

1600x1200 monitor helps a TON. if you already have that, you will get used to more tables before too long

2 17" lcd's. 2 tables on each. Maybe I'm just 'touched' (a euphamism for the develpment impaired)

your winrate is naturally going to suffer some. the idea however, is that if you double the amount of tables you play that you dont cut your winrate in half. the more tables you add, the less prevalent your reads become, which will clearly hurt a little bit.

edit: go out and get a damn 1600x1200 monitor. its absolutely worth it. if you dont want to drop 500 go get a 21" flat screen crt on ebay. they are like $100 after shipping.

Shoulda got the 21", but the 1st monitor was a gift, and I got the second for $150. Overlap isn't a problem, as it's just the edges.......

I digress.

I started 7 tabling about 40k hands ago and win rate is about the same. Thats not enough hands to really draw any conclutions from, but I honestly feel like I give up very little with the extra games. I'm sure everybody is different. I also cut out a lot of the web surfing and IMing which helps.

how many hands/hr can you do before getting saturated?

I've been doing much more shorthanded play and added another table while doing the WSOP challenge, and even with all the tables on one monitor there is a point where I can't make decisions and click fast enough to keep up. this is usually 350 to 400 hands/hr. Do you get used to it after a while and get to a rate faster than this?

Good points and explanation in general.

I would like to add that if your main goal is money, even if your winrate falls to a hair below half of what it was if you are playing rakeback and bonuses your EV becomes greater.

If you went from 4 tables to 8 and ignoring variance went from 2.1/100 to .95/100. It is still worth it with an extra ~$25 an hr from rakeback at the 2-4 tables.

This is once again assuming you are not concerned with improving your game and just improving your current bottom line.

I run well in excess of 500 hands per hour. And thats usually including waiting for a table to open up. Thats ten tables of full though, which means i have more time between decisions. I have 8 tabled the six max games on party before and i think then i was running somewhere around 700 hph.

i can do about 800hands/hr i think. ive done about 750 and dont see why i couldnt add more. however, i dont do that anymore because it causes me to burn out. i was 6tabling 6max for a while, and it was very stressful. i decided to remove 2 tables for the time being and my winrate hasnt gone up any. i play 30 hours a week, and starting next week i am going to try and alot 15hrs/wk to 6tabling and 15hrs/wk 4tabling until i move up in limits again, at which point i will settle at 4 until i am comfortable.
