I don't know the details but i think it's awful if someone like Abdul who's giving the best advice on the site for free can't also advertise his site in a post. I'd have no problem with it as the benefits overweigh it. If it was more serious than this just ignore me.

I think the same case happen when we all had our sigs removed, lots of people with over 1000s of quality posts should be allowed to advertise their own site/favourite site/affilate deals in their sig because of all the good advice they have given. Yes it was misused by a few.

I assumed that Izmet and Abdul were the same person. But I originally thought Clarkmeister and Dynasty were the same person so WTF do I know.

I apologize if I misrepresented what you said.

I agree with the rules set forth, and by no means intend to say that you should allow personal insults, ads, etc.

But, and I'm darn certain of it, so much so that I actually tried to search for the thread, you stated here (maybe not to him in person) that he could post here if he stuck strictly to poker only. Nothing else.

Man, if I couldn't bash the Lakers, I'm not sure I'd stick around either!

Josh

Um, are those guys like the brothers of Stu Ungar and Billy Madison?

Hi Josh:

You need to read things in context. No one is ever barred because they post about sports. That would never be the problem. So if we tell someone that they need to stick to poker, and they were to post about let's say the stock market, then that wouldn't be a problem.

best wishes,
Mason

Hi Gambler:

I just spoke generically about what rules that we are very serious about enforcing. In this case, the problem was not about him advertising his site in a post. In fact, we use to have a link from our links page to his site.

best wishes,
Mason

Seņor Mason,

Would you ever consider having Abdul as a guest speaker at one of your poker seminars? (do you and dave ever have guest speakers?)
