Default S&Gs at Party... Poker Tracker stats

There was a great thread about the statistics players claimed to be achieving in tourneys. I thought they were a little inflated, but I don't understand why someone would lie unless the reader actually knew who the poster was.

Think about it. Higher stats would imply more skill. Players would fear the players with the most skill. However, if you give great stats and no one knows who you are, the fear you created is useless, right?

Anyway, if anyone is interested, I wanted to post my stats.

I play exclusively $10+$1 S&Gs at Party. I track with Poker Tracker.

I started playing in December.

Decemeber : 27 tourneys, ($17) , In-Money 29.63%, avg finish 4.59
1st - 3, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2

January through 1/26 : 64 tourneys, $176 , In-$ 45.31%, Avg 4.61, ROI 176/704 = 25%
1st - 7, 2nd - 9, 3rd - 13

I'm still working on my "finishing" skills, but I'm getting better. A lot more In-The-Money finishes and lots less 4th places.

I was hoping others will post true statistics to see how I compare.

I only just started keeping really decent records last month. Here's Paradise SNGs since late December:

81 single table $10 SNGs
In Money: 39.5%
1st - 9
2nd - 8
3rd - 15

+$119.62

It should be noted that mixed in there is one long losing streak (8 games) and three 5-game losing streaks. I consider those anomalies and expect things to be better over time. Oh the bad beat stories I got though...

I had never played a Sit & Go at Party so I couldn't contribute to this thread... so I played one.

Here are my lifetime stats.

$10 NLHE sit and gos.

Played: 1

Places:

1st: 0
2nd: 1
3rd: 0

In money: 100%.

+$19.

Is this a large enough sample?

Guy.

PS. Sorry. Feeling mischievous. And I was outdrawn on the last hand. Boo.

I play the SNG 5's and am shortly moving up to the $10. Here are my Jan stats:

NL 52% in the money 40% ROI
PL 31% in the money -4% ROI
HE 71% in the money 67% ROI

I track everything in Poker Tracker. The thing that I find interesting is that in Dec Pot Limit was in the money 56% of the time. I dont really think I change my style that much from month to month yet I still seem to get a lot of variation in my results. I can't bear the thought of going through stacks of page histories to find out why though !

I tend to play all three types of games along with some Omaha hi/lo. Does everyone else vary their games or do you focus exclusively on just one type of game, like no limit ??

thanks

GoSox,

I used to play Stud8 tourneys and was averaging a little more than third place money. I never play ring games anymore online. Too many "strange things" happen in them.

I play ONLY NLHE S&Gs now.

The nick I play under is SEEKRIT; I don't want to encourage other 2+2ers to play at my table. It should be obvious why.

$10+1 NLHE SNG

42 tourneys
1 1st
3 2nd
7 3rd
26.2% in the money
average finish 4.93
net -$182
-$4.3 per SNG

On the other hand, I'm up at ring and MTTs.

OneStuck - I've only played a few $10s and have actually done better than the SNG $5s, but my sample is too small for any opinion. Have you found any difference in play, or player quality from the 5's to the 10s ??

thanks

Have seen little difference so far. Maybe a few better players but mostly still the same loose players as the 5's. Been watching the 20's as well which is my next step, but it seems like its is only slightly better than the 10$'s if any at all. Im hoping the 30$-50$ limits like Im told will offer some tougher competition. Im not playing these now b/c Im trying to build a large cushion of losses for the higher limits, as I read on here some people have gone 20 straight out of the money in the 30$ and up. Honestly, that sounds high to me, but Ill listen to those who have stepped before me. In the last 70 tourneys my worst streak is 4 out of the money...my best is also 4 straight. Im crossing my fingers the next time I play, as I am going for number 5
btw, what all does pokertracker "track"? As I made my own spreadsheats for win/loss, ROI, etc in Excel. Id like to know what Im missing out on, or simply just need to add to my own sheet.
