A 7-iron and a 25 ft. putt later, I've salvaged a par! Meanwhile my brother, (fingokra) had hit 2 out from the tee, and I clip him by 5!

What kind of putter did you buy? Let me guess, Cameron- phantom. Suggestion(that you'll never use) try a long putter or the claw grip. More imprortantly, what brand of cigars are you burning on the course? Carlos Torano is my new favorite golfgar.

Ping craz-eeeeeee thing. 34" standard lie (flatter now the ping rep said, never liked ping putters because they felt too upright, this one isn't) centershaft no offset. It rolls em pretty good. Playing a course today in a scramble that I have only played a few times, but has great greens. We'll see how it works. The craz-e gives me a good picture of how to stroke through the line and seems to get the face where it needs to be at impact. We'll see. Mostly I need to practice a lot of long putts, but buying a putter seemed like the wiser course.
Ping rep worked w/ me on fitting a driver and some fairway woods too. Yesterday will prove an expensive one on the range I think. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] (I think I'll carry the better fitting driver 20 or more yards more BTW. Gotta wait for that one to get shipped tho.)

This is more accurate: PGA (25 tournies, 1 cut made) Hogan/Nike/Buy.Com (7 tournies, 2 cuts made) S. African (9 tournies, 5 cuts) European (2 of the S. African tournies were European events) Asian (failed to qualify in Manilla once) 13 years of struggling mini-tour events (including Tight Lies which was omitted) There now. My conscience is clear.
