Hand 1:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (6 handed) converter

Button (t2200)
SB (t1295)
BB (t1100)
Hero (t695)
MP (t1480)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero Folds...



Hand 2:

UTG (t1235)

Hero (t1345)

I agree with both.

33 UTG is a no brainer.

I don't have the odds to play 99 for set value, and they are unlikely to win unimproved.

1st one, depends. If the table had been REAL passive I might try and limp, but I doubt it. You really don't have the chips to be limping around UTG. Second one, you are in good shape, and the guy did his job right (raised properly to take away your odds). Let him have it. Mini-raise, I migh call for set value, but not here, without a very good read.
