Card says so, so I'll do it.

I'm trying to figure out the logic behind this, without really knowing the math.

If you have 15 and the dealer has 3, you're basically looking at the following:

What is the chance that he will make a playable hand?
What is the chance that he will bust?
What is the chance that I will bust?
What is the chance that I will improve my hand beyond its current strength as well as the strength of the dealer's hand when the dealer improves his hand?

So I guess the sticking point is on 12 and at 2 & 3 for the dealer...

If he had one higher card, his likelihood of busting would be high enough that you wouldn't want to risk busting yourself. However, when he's at 2&3, I think you're hitting because you have a very good chance to improve to a monster, and if you stop early, then he's still in the same spot. You're basically only risking hitting a T card, which is substantial... Hmm... I'm not sure I understand everything yet, but this is getting there.

yea some of the correct plays arent very obvious (atleast to me).
I think the one i understand the least is hitting soft 18 when facing a 9,T, or A.

When a 9, T or A is showing then dealers most likely hand is 19+, so your A7 is pretty weak. By hitting you can not bust, and can catch quite a few cards to give you a decent shot at drawing out.

The one rule which I'm still not quite sure on is hitting 12 against a 2, but sticking on 13.

I would not worry about the BJ charts. Thousands of people have done the Math. Probably millions have used the chart. If this game was so easy and everyone knew the odds intuitively, the casinos would not offer such a low advantage game. Just make sure you are using the right one.
The main problem I would worry about are all the changing T & Cs. Some give the bonus right away, some in 20 minutes, some after you email them, some after 24 hours, some after you wager 1X, some after you finish the wagering requirement. And I'm still new at this.
