Default Looking for advice for a family, poker vacation...

In planning my family's next winter vacation away from our home in New England, I would like to take my wife and two preteenage children to a warm, affordable, kid-friendly place where I can play poker (i.e. not Vegas). What would be ideal is a place where we can do family activities during the day, and where I can play cards after everyone is settled in for the evening.

Any suggestions?

A few options:
1) Biloxi Ms. - Tour historic homes during the day or walk on the beach. New Orleans is about 2 hours west. You can go antiquing and tour historic houses there also. Mobile is about an hour or so east and has a neat military history park.
2) Santa Fe New Mexico: The Sandia casino has a great card room about an hour south. There is also a small casino just north that has a 4 or 5 table room.
3) Phoeniex Az. Make it early summer. By July the heat is oppressive.
