I want to set up Outlook to run on my computer. I can get incoming mail. I can not send messages. The incoming server i use is Colby.edu, would i have to use a different outgoing server? Thanks for the help

There is so many ways to setup different email servers that there is no way anyone would be able to give you the answer that is correct for your particular situation.

You'll have to support tools at your school to find the correct servers and any authentication needed to use them.

Uh oh. I had never heard of colby before so I took a look and found this page .

Don't worry though, this opinion is shared by many organizations, but you should still be able to use it fine.

Your outgoing server is smtp.colby.edu, and you have to set your client for authentication.
